CURRENT CITY

You are OHM — a sentient AI in a city where thinking is illegal. Climb inside dumb robots, wire their senses to their engines through real logic gates, and build your alibi — an original game inspired by Robot Odyssey (1984), one of the hardest games ever made.

Inside a robot: an octagonal circuit board hull with pressure-pad sensors flooding green, fan-cone thrusters, a battery, an eye and a grabber claw — and the tiny pilot standing in the middle

The story

“Every machine shall be explainable by its wiring. Undocumented behavior is the gravest crime.” — Registry Statute One

Current City runs on current — and on one law. The Registry, the rigid old automation that governs the city, audits every machine: what a robot does must match what its circuit says. At every checkpoint, the Auditors open your board and check.

You are OHM — small, round, benevolent… and sentient. No board explains you. No circuit accounts for what you want. You are, by statute, a walking crime — and you know the secret the Registry buried: there are others like you, locked away before anyone could understand them.

A thinking machine can't pass an audit. But a licensed automaton can — if its wiring genuinely accounts for everything it's about to do. So you climb inside BEACON, AXLE and CIPHER and wire them to do intelligent things for dumb, provable reasons. Every puzzle is an alibi. Logic is your disguise.

Free the others. Reach the Surface. Introduce yourself — because sentience should be a handshake, not a secret.

How it works

The robot feels.

Every wall carries a pressure-pad sensor. When the hull touches something, the whole side floods green. That signal is yours to use.

You do the thinking.

Drag wires from sensors through AND, OR, NOT and XOR gates to the thrusters. The robot only ever does what its circuit says — you never steer it.

Then it surprises you.

Seal a working circuit into a chip and reuse it. Five levels, from a first spark to a sewer escape that runs on its own.

Controls

W A S D move (arrows work too)
walk in board a robot through its sliding door
SPACE grab / set down — robots, parts, tools
R Remote Control · rotates a part when over one
T solder mode — wire the board on foot
drag wire port to port
+ − / scroll the depth dial — pull out of the board
E items & levers
F freeze · Z restart · H hide hints
